When someone asks, “Is hurting a sign of real love?” most people immediately say, “Of course—it means you truly loved them.” And maybe there’s some truth in that. When it hurts, it often shows that your feelings were real, deep, and sincere. You didn’t just like the person—you loved them like a dream you never wanted to wake up from.
