Too loud, To Quiet
THE SILENT BATTLE: STRUGGLES OF
GIRLS IN A PATRIACHAL SOCIETY
The struggle starts from their own family, the gender bias, proper dressing sense only for her not for him, doing work in home is her only. Just a normal rule and regulations in every homes.
How this would be right? How this would be handled by her only, it's fair?
The only roaming freedom for the boys, while girls are told to stay inside, speak less, obey more, dress properly.
Why? Because still society measures a girl's worth by her "reputation" rather than her ambition.
Why? this won't be spoken out why only girls want to wake up early and they don't sleep for a while.
Not allowed to stay out (or) travel alone. Safety is the reason for these or anything else if safety isn't a reason the girls won't have a braveness like boys not true. forced to give up her dreams for family obligations, they don't have any dream, or family is the only dream and responsibility for her.
" A girl is not born to be silent; she is born to shine"
UNSEEN WOUNDS
Sexual harassment, the struggles in them work life. Is the struggles have any solution. Women only know the pain.
Career? first, break the glass ceiling. Even when girls do everything right- study hard, work smart, they face discrimination in workplaces, pay gaps and harassment. Sexual harassment continues to affect girls across school, home, workplace, public space.
"Don't go out after dark."
"Don't wear that"
"Ignore it, boys will be boys."
Girls hear these warning all the time- not because they're doing something wrong, but because the world around them refuses to protect them. Sexual harassment doesn't end when the act ends- the trauma lingers.
She fears, she shames and guilt even though it's not her fault, insecurities lost their faith.
She even doesn't have a strength to face the men's
She can't be able to be told anyone what the society often thinks
1."She must have done something to provoke it"
2. "What was she wearing?"
3. "Why did she go out?"
Victim blaming is still common. "Let be the society stand by them - not against them"
FINAL THOUGHT
Being a girl shouldn't be a struggle. It should be an adventure, a discovery, a celebration of strength. Let's break the silence, let's change the system because when girls rise, everyone rise
